On #GivingTuesday, embrace Hunter’s motto, Mihi Cura Futuri:
The Care of the Future is Mine.

Support Hunter as we provide our 23,000 undergrads and grad students with the education they’ll need to achieve their goals and build a better world for us all.

Now, more than ever before, Hunter needs your financial support.

With the pandemic came a dangerous duality for Hunter: sharply increased costs alongside sharp cuts in the state’s funding of CUNY colleges. Hunter’s alumni and friends have been helping us bridge that funding gap. With the support of those donors, we’ve been able to provide emergency scholarships, food, and rent money to the many hardworking students suffering the loss of jobs and family income.

We’ve also spent heavily on fine-tuning the transition to remote courses. That includes giving many students the laptops they need for their classes and research. At the same time, we’re covering the costs of ensuring the health and safety of everyone involved in the science labs, clinical training, and studio/performance work requiring onsite instruction.

All of this benefits not only our students and faculty at Hunter, but society as a whole. In the days, months and years to come, our city, country and global community will need the Hunter-educated nurses, doctors, teachers, research scientists, community and nonprofit leaders, public servants, creative artists, and graduates in other fields who will make a mark not only in their professions but as informed, engaged citizens of the world.

Please support them and their college by making a gift now or any time before December 1. Your #GivingTuesday donation will go where the need is immediate and the effect long-lasting.
